Ruby Nails

Roughly two months ago, I went for acrylic nails. The older lady who worked on my nails was not as skilled as the technicians from my previous visits. Upon completion, my nails were bulky and wider than desired, despite my repeated requests for them to be thinner. Feeling dissatisfied, I sought a fill-in at another recommended nail salon. I was pleased with how the technician reshaped my nails beautifully. Upon requiring another fill-in, I returned to Ruby Nails. Initially planning for a fill-in, I was assigned to another older lady, and suddenly decided, "I want to remove my nails." The lady proceeded to remove my nails, and I will not allow her to touch my hands again!! She did not soak my nails adequately for removal, and proceeded to file off the acrylic, removing too much of my natural nails until they became thin. My nails are still recovering from the damage. They are fragile, so fragile. If I could rate them, it would be a -100. Never have my nails been so severely damaged during any nail salon visit. It is extremely disappointing that it seems to be about profit, not service. I will never allow those two ladies to work on my nails again, even if I return to Ruby Nails. Never!!! I may not know your name, but I won't forget your face. My nails are still trying to recover from the ordeal.

I have been patronizing this nail salon for about 6 or 7 years now. Initially, a woman did my nails and after one of my visits, I was dissatisfied with the outcome. I contacted the establishment and informed them that I was unhappy with my nails appearing uneven and somewhat messy. The supervisor instructed me to return for a correction. Since then, I have been exclusively seeing Tamara. I rarely experience nail breakage, maybe once or twice over the past few years. However, this weekend, I broke 3 nails! Not due to poor quality or improper application, but because of my own actions. One nail was severely broken during a volleyball game, splitting through the middle of my finger and causing bleeding. After allowing it to heal for 2 days, I assumed it would need to grow out before Tamara could address it. To my surprise, Tamara skillfully repaired all 3 deep breaks with no discomfort. I left feeling rejuvenated! I have read other reviews mentioning Tamara and the other staff at the salon being impolite or rushed. Personally, I have not witnessed this during my visits! Every individual I have encountered has been professional. While Tamara may work quickly at times due to a high volume of clients, she strives to accommodate everyone efficiently while maintaining quality work. Even when she is pressed for time, I have always been satisfied with the exceptional results. Once, during a trip to my hometown in Michigan, I had my nails done and it was a disaster! I immediately returned to Ruby Nails to rectify the mess that was applied to my nails up north! Each visit has been a delightful experience for me!

Around 6 years ago, I had my nails done for a special occasion. I sought a tranquil environment, and this establishment provided just that (no loud music, no one trying to sell me handbags or sweets, lol). I admired the professionalism and found their pricing to be more competitive than other nail salons. I recently revisited and have been satisfied with the service at Ruby Nails this past month. The nail technician and the proprietor attended to my client who required services and they executed an outstanding pedicure. The manicure she received last week still looked impeccable 7 days later. I highly recommend Ruby Nails.
