Dollar Tree

This store is the most unprofessional one I've been to. A man assaulted my family with a push cart in line. He used foul language and nothing was done. He then tried to grab the cart again and swing it towards my daughter, but I pushed it back. Still, nothing was done. He even took swings at me, so I had to defend myself. Despite him assaulting three people, nothing was done. However, when I defended my family, I was not allowed in the store, couldn't make a purchase, while the man was allowed to walk out freely. It seems that if you're African American and assaulted by a Caucasian individual, you're seen as the problem, even though the manager witnessed everything and did nothing to stop the man's actions.

If I could rate this store a -10000, I would. I want to file a complaint about store number 7583 located at 24 Scotch Road Ewing NJ 08628. My mother and I visited around 2 pm to buy some essentials. Since it was a last-minute decision, we didn't have any bags. We politely asked an employee who was unpacking if we could have one of the empty boxes, but she snatched it out of my mother's hands and refused to give it to us, claiming she didn't want to unpack faster. When we asked for another box, she repeatedly declined. We are extremely disappointed with this Dollar Tree. I will be contacting corporate about the rude and unwelcoming service we received. If there was a valid reason for not providing a box, we would have understood, but in this case, no explanation was given. In comparison to other Dollar Tree locations we've visited, if they didn't have boxes upfront, the staff would happily find and provide one for us. We spoke to the "manager," who identified herself as Sybil, and she informed us that their store doesn't offer boxes, which is their decision. However, before we checked out, the same employee who denied us a box went to the front, found one, and offered it to my mother. So, they can choose when to provide boxes? Or is it based on who's asking? That seems like discrimination. When we called the "manager" to report the rude behavior, she abruptly hung up on us. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE VISITING THIS LOCATION.

I’m glad to see the store expanding its inventory. They have removed some items to make room for new ones, which can be a bit annoying, but having a wider variety is great. I've never had any issues with the staff here, they are always friendly. I look forward to seeing what new items they will offer as the seasons change, especially in their $5 section. This store is my go-to for decorations and crafting supplies.
