Received a haircut from JT and it was absolutely fantastic! One of the best haircuts I've ever had, for sure. Thank you, JT!
I visited the salon a week prior as I was unable to schedule an appointment online. I spoke with a friendly bald man about my online appointment issue and my need for a hairstylist skilled in various natural hair styles. He recommended Joy, with whom I had a conversation and she scheduled me for the following week as she was fully booked and tired at that moment. We discussed my hair requirements. When I arrived, I was 15-20 minutes late for the appointment due to a late finish at work. It was raining, and I was exhausted. Joy asked if I had hair extensions, which surprised me as we hadn't talked about that. I inquired about the type and color, and she suggested pre-stretched hair and advised me to seek help at the hair shop for the color. Upon returning, she wanted me to go back out to get grey hair, but I declined and asked if she could work with what I had. She agreed. Since I didn't have a specific style in mind, she suggested one that I agreed to. The black color she used actually toned down my grey hair, and the outcome exceeded my expectations. She worked quickly. Although the style wasn't exactly what we had agreed upon, I was content with it. Just as I thought I was done and ready to head home to rest, she informed me that they didn't accept cards and suggested I go to an ATM across the street at the gas station. I encountered issues with the ATM and being unfamiliar with the area, I had to return home to get my husband's card, withdraw cash, and then return to pay. Despite usually tipping, the back and forth made me change my mind. I felt good and looked good initially, but the style started looking frizzy and the braids were coming loose after just one night. Each passing day made it worse. Now, I'm still on the lookout for a professional hairstylist.
