This establishment is not welcoming. I've visited a few times since moving here years ago. I often dye my hair and shop at Sally's, so I thought I'd check this place out. Turns out, it's only for licensed professionals, which was news to me on my recent visit. What bothered me is that I had browsed here multiple times without being informed of this rule. During my last visit, the lady (presumably the manager) was a bit odd. She wasn't in the store when my fiancée and I went in the evening. She panicked and said she was closed, yet she didn't lock the door while she was in the back room. That felt like a safety issue on her part, but she told us to come back when they were open. Fine. Finally had some cash and needed hair dye, so I went in (as a brown queer man). She greeted us, and we browsed while another white person was there. Visited this place for a lash touch-up by Marie and an acrylic refill by Juloni, and I was thoroughly pleased with both services! They are exceptionally skilled and engaging. Landon is exceptionally talented. Each time I leave his chair, I am amazed by the transformation of my hair. I tend to struggle with articulating exactly what I want, but Landon's creativity and skill always exceed my expectations. He is not only skilled but also very personable, making the experience enjoyable. Absolutely terrible haircut, looks horrendous. Uneven lengths, missed spots, a whole side completely neglected. No effort put in at all. Now I need another haircut more than ever and have to pay for it. Avoid this place! Despite decent reviews, it's far from legitimate. Looks like a disaster; honestly shocked they're still in business. I am beyond pleased with the body work service I received. The setting was impeccable as well. Jordan is incredibly knowledgeable and remarkably intuitive. Their hands work like magic, applying just the right pressure. The communication from Humboldt Mobile Massage was impeccable. The service was decent. The overall experience was good, but the nails were poorly done, like bubbles. They came off the next day. However, the service was friendly. I phoned last minute to see if I could get an appointment. Laurie managed to fit me in, and I got the exact style I wanted. The salon has a delightful scent, unlike other places. I absolutely adore my new hair. I'm so happy I didn't have to resort to using my husband's clippers. 😁
