When in the Santa Fe region, this is a must-visit spot. Breathtaking views abound, and the course was impeccably maintained. The greens feature significant slopes and are quite challenging. Playing here is an exciting experience with all the changes in elevation and shots both uphill and downhill. The staff was warm and inviting. On a Saturday, the green fee was $99. This is less than half of Paako Ridge and $30 lower than Twin Warriors. Do note they do not accept American Express cards. If I had to pick just one place to play in the area, it would be this one.
Having a good understanding of the course is beneficial, but what a splendid golf course. The overall condition is excellent. This golf course in the Santa Fe / Español region is one of my top favorites.
From the exceptional individual at the proshop to the starter, top-notch hospitality all around! While I am quite accustomed to playing on desert golf courses, Black Mesa still stands out in terms of challenge, views, course conditions, pace of play, and value. Due to the elevation, the ball travels quite far here, so stay mindful of that!
