Feeling disappointed 😔 I've been a client of Alex's for many years, albeit intermittently. Yesterday, my daughter (13) and I went for acrylic full sets with simple daisy designs & regular polish manicures. $90. Ninety dollars! So, I phoned this morning to inquire about their pricing, and Alex's spouse, Ben, informed me that a manicure costs $25, and the full set is $45, confirming they owe me $20. Alex then spoke with me and justified that the basic, poorly executed daisy art costs $25. The calculations seemed off, and I didn't want to make a fuss over $20; I'm just sharing this to caution everyone planning to get a full set with any nail art - anticipate paying $70. I will include a photo of the nails. I recently had a manicure done. The individual attending to me accidentally cut two of my fingers while working on the cuticles. I observed that the salon's instruments are not properly sterilized. The person used an unfamiliar light blue liquid from a dirty container to stop the bleeding. Only one of the fingers was bandaged. There was a lack of antibiotic ointment at the salon. I took it upon myself to replace the bandage and apply antibiotic ointment. Unfortunately, both fingers are now tender and infected. This experience taught me that this salon reuses instruments, lacks proper sterilization practices, and does not have a sterilizer unit on-site. I have decided not to return to this salon.
