My spouse and I recently retired to Albany after decades in CA. One of the toughest farewells was to Alex, the hair stylist who had done my cuts and highlights since the 90s. After more than 100 visits, she magically stayed in my comfort zone while updating me enough to be current. I didn’t know how I was going to replace that. Fortunately, Emily at Salon Efthimia saved the day. It took me three months to get the courage to go, and by then dark roots circled my head and my bangs were halfway down my nose. Emily listened attentively to my preferences, and patiently scrolled through photos of Alex’s handiwork through the years. The end result? My hair was perfect. Absolutely perfect. And a shout out to Dakota, whose scalp massage was the best I’ve ever had. 5 stars to Emily and Dakota and Salon Efthimia.

Emily is truly the two percent. Hairdresser myself, I always plan ahead to book an appointment because it's always worth it. She knows texture, head shape and lifestyle. Truly a gem!!!
