Making an appointment online and in person was a breeze. The team members were friendly, including my stylist. The initial look after the haircut at the salon seemed fine, but once my hair dried at home, I noticed it was quite uneven. The layers were bluntly cut, lacking the softness and blend that feathering would provide - my ends are at risk of splitting quickly now 😢. I wish I had realized this issue while I was still in the styling chair. Unfortunately, my hair is thin and a gradient of blonde, so the unevenness will be more noticeable. I will have to figure out how to style it to minimize the uneven lengths and wait for it to grow out a bit before seeking another salon to fix it. I paid for a wash and haircut, and that's essentially what I got. From this experience, it seems their business model expects customers to understand the cutting and styling techniques and communicate them to the stylist, as the focus is on quick, basic services at a low cost. I understand that I may not be the target clientele since I prefer to trust that my stylist automatically considers texture, color, and desired length in my chosen style to provide a quality cut that surpasses the minimum standard.
It was my first time taking my sons to Great Clips for their haircuts. The experience was fantastic. The app allowed me to check the wait time and check-in remotely. Upon arrival, I was impressed to see my name, estimated wait time, and place in line displayed. I waited for less than 4 minutes before a very friendly lady welcomed us, and both my boys left with sharp, stylish cuts. The pricing was very reasonable, and as a first-time customer, I even received two coupons for future visits. I will definitely be coming back!
Rainy did an excellent job. I was disappointed with my previous experience at the Downey location, and I clearly communicated my specific desires to her, emphasizing the importance of a thorough job over a rushed one. Thankfully, she delivered. She paid close attention to detail and ensured that my haircut turned out well. I was so relaxed that I actually dozed off during the cut.
