This Salon is absolutely stunning and spotless. The hair stylists are incredibly skilled and friendly. I visited the day after removing my braids and needed a trim, wash, and deep conditioning treatment. The results were outstanding. My hair was full of volume and looked beautiful. I will definitely be coming back here. I’ve had positive encounters here in the past, but the nail tech who did my nails today seemed very rushed and did a messy job. She didn’t fully remove all of my old nail polish, leaving little black speckles. Moreover, she left before my nails were fully set under the UV light, resulting in them being covered in fuzzies. The nail edges were also quite sloppy. You must make your way to this establishment for a waxing session! Today, I experienced my first appointment with Tenika, and it was a delight. She was incredibly kind, efficient, and took the time to thoroughly explain each step of the process. Surprisingly, the procedure was virtually painless! Having had many Brazilian waxes in the past, I can confidently say that this was the best one yet. Despite my nerves from a long break due to relocation, I was amazed at how comfortable and pain-free the experience was. Tenika's meticulous attention to detail left me feeling and looking fantastic. My experience with Frances styling my hair was delightful. Meeting her for the first time was great. She made me feel at ease and welcome. I opted for a sew-in with some natural hair left out. The installation process was pain-free. The braids were just right in terms of tightness. I was extremely pleased with how my hair looked and felt. Alex was fantastic! I traveled from the northeast for more affordable service and better quality - and this establishment delivered just that. The staff was extremely welcoming and the cost was reasonable. I paid $90 for a customizable gel fill and nail art, which may seem high but is significantly cheaper than the $160 I would have paid in the northeast. I made an appointment with Zocdoc to see a doctor, but upon arrival, I was informed that I would be seen by a different doctor than the one I had booked. The receptionist mentioned in passing that I would be seeing Dr. Kim, but I was not explicitly informed about the change. As I prefer female doctors, I decided to leave without being seen. The receptionist mentioned that the doctor I initially wanted to see only works on Wednesdays, suggesting that this information should be updated on Zocdoc's booking schedule. I then requested an appointment for Wednesday, but was informed that they were fully booked. After booking me for the next available slot, I had to wait for about 5 minutes before being told that I was good to go. Considering I was at a podiatrist for foot pain, the lack of attention to my needs was disappointing. Having worked in a similar medical setting with multiple doctors for over 15 years, I noticed the receptionist's unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service skills. I arrived around 3:30 on a Friday. I was greeted and informed that someone would assist me shortly. Eventually, I was greeted and attended to by Olivia. I opted for a pedicure and a full acrylic set. There were three pedicure chairs, but only one was in use. She began working on my nails. I found it odd since it's WINTER, how would I manage my shoes and clothes with wet nails? The nail process went smoothly. Olivia inquired about the length and style I desired. However, I noticed she did not inspect my cuticles. She buffed my natural nail and began applying the tips. I brought my own polish and opted for a simple look without any design. Then we transitioned to the pedicure chair... with my WET nails. Olivia helped me remove my sneakers. However, my pants were not pulled up enough, so I attempted to adjust them. Unfortunately, I smudged my nails in the process. I pointed this out, and she responded with "OK, later". The pedicure was quite basic. She applied cuticle cream and let it sit. I suggested she fix my nails, to which she replied "later". This was the only part she left to sit during the pedicure. Since we did the pedicure so late in the process, I couldn't opt for color as I didn't have enough time for them to dry before putting on my socks and shoes. Olivia assisted in putting on my socks and adjusting my pants. However, my fingernails still needed attention. She quickly fixed them and advised me to be more cautious. It shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to point that out, nor should they be instructed to be more careful. It was YOUR lack of planning that led to the situation. Then, she had me dry my nails using the table fan at her station. Some improvements the staff could make include not getting distracted by conversations with each other while attending to a client. Additionally, avoid showing personal items below your belt to a colleague while next to a client (hopefully it was a tattoo and not a bruise). Overall: a 3.5-star rating, mostly due to the staff's attitude. The full acrylic set and pedicure cost $65. I had the pleasure of visiting the salon in February 2023. There was some construction happening due to a burst water pipe. Alex was extremely apologetic about the appearance of the space and the ongoing work being done during my appointment but outside the suite. I appreciated the care shown for my comfort. After a short wait for Alex to finish with another client, she started my haircut and silk press appointment.
