The receptionist mentioned in passing that I would be seeing Dr. Kim, but I was not explicitly informed about the change. As I prefer female doctors, I decided to leave without being seen. The receptionist mentioned that the doctor I initially wanted to see only works on Wednesdays, suggesting that this information should be updated on Zocdoc's booking schedule. I then requested an appointment for Wednesday, but was informed that they were fully booked. After booking me for the next available slot, I had to wait for about 5 minutes before being told that I was good to go. Considering I was at a podiatrist for foot pain, the lack of attention to my needs was disappointing. Having worked in a similar medical setting with multiple doctors for over 15 years, I noticed the receptionist's unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service skills. This experience reflects poorly on the practice's patient care standards, and I am hesitant to return.
The receptionists were extremely impolite, insisting that I go to a nearby store to withdraw cash for my copayment when their card machine was not functioning. Despite being told earlier that card payment was accepted, I was scolded for not having cash on hand. After informing the doctor about the issue, the machine was rebooted and I was able to pay with my card. The receptionists' behavior was unprofessional and inefficient, causing unnecessary inconvenience.
