--- Olivia Rivera I went to Elite Nails for the first time yesterday and it will be the last. I requested french tips on my daughter's toes and was informed they couldn't do it. I should have left right then. Who can't do a simple french manicure? Tina said no. So, I ended up getting white with chrome gel polish. It was a disaster. Linda had polish and top coat all over my toes, peeling off my skin and cracking. She accidentally spilled the top coat on her pants, then cured it, causing a burn. No gloves were used! I have never been to a nail salon that doesn't use gloves. I went back inside and told Peter at the front how bad my toes looked. He agreed to have them fixed. Linda was sent to fix them, the same lady who messed them up. She came out with a nail drill tool, asking what happened. I explained that the polish was chipping and all over my toes. She proceeded to use the dremel to remove the gel, cutting me in the process. I exclaimed, "OUCH, you cut me!" She then cut me again in the same spot! At that point, I was done. I walked to the front and told Peter I had been there for 2.5 hours, my toes looked terrible, she cut me twice, and wiped the blood off my toes with her bare hands, once again, no gloves. I requested a refund, but he insisted I come back next week for a fix. I am leaving for a trip tomorrow morning. Needless to say, I will never return. $140 wasted. I went to Pro Nails up the street, and they fixed the mess Elite Nails made. I highly recommend visiting Pro Nails, not Elite.
Tina always does an excellent job with my pedicures and fill-ins, while Johnny is fantastic with my acrylics and gel. I highly recommend these two for any nail services. I have never had any complaints or issues with them. Tina is friendly and engages in conversation throughout the appointment, and Johnny is always cheerful, laughing, and making jokes. It's always a positive experience for me.
When I entered, the lady at the front was pleasant. I opted for a pedicure deluxe and acrylic nails. She inquired about the length, and I said medium. She quoted $37 for the pedicure and $45 for the nails. I chose regular polish. My pedicurist did not speak to me during the 30 minutes. There was no massage or hot stones, just lotion, hot towels, and nail painting for the deluxe pedicure. Moving on to my acrylics, I waited about 10 minutes before someone attended to me. I requested medium length, ballet slipper pink, square shape. When the monomer was applied, my nails felt like they were on fire. I informed her, and she sprayed water, claiming I had sensitive nail beds. I've had acrylic nails many times and never had this issue. She complained throughout because I chose regular polish over gel, stating gel would be quicker and wouldn't run. Overall, it was the worst nail salon experience I've had. Photos of my nails are below, done just a day ago.
