Gatsby Salon

The Gatsby Salon has consistently impressed me for almost 5 years now. The whole team is incredibly friendly and always up-to-date with the latest trends. The stylists come up with fantastic hairstyle ideas that inspire me to change up my look every now and then. My stylist Leevette initially worked wonders on my hair, transforming it from damaged and box-dyed to a stunning platinum shade. I later switched to a copper color for autumn, and now I'm transitioning back to blonde for the summer. Leevette has styled my hair for some of the most important events in my life, including my graduation, birthdays, banquets, ceremonies, formal parties, and nights out with friends. Every time I step out of the salon, I receive countless compliments!

I had a negative experience at the salon. I needed my hair colored and had a consultation as requested. Denise was the stylist assigned to me. She was fully booked but agreed to fit me in for color, with another stylist scheduled to blow dry my hair. However, upon arrival, both stylists ended up working on coloring my hair, contrary to the agreement. The process felt rushed and lacked attention to detail. No one kept track of the timer for my color application, resulting in color dripping all over my forehead, ears, and falling onto the floor. I had to call for assistance multiple times. Denise didn't check in on my color progress as she was busy with other clients. The situation worsened when I noticed that the left side of my hair, where the assistant stylist worked, had several missed and uncolored sections. I pointed this out to the owner, who brushed it off, suggesting that more color could be added in future visits. However, upon closer inspection in natural light, I noticed orange streaks, missed chunks, and an uneven color distribution. Despite the money spent on color, blow-dry, and tips for both stylists, I was not satisfied with the outcome. Feeling unhappy and self-conscious, I returned to the salon to address the issues. The owner's initial reaction seemed dismissive and unhelpful, which left me feeling disrespected. After some insistence, the missed sections were eventually colored by another stylist. While the final result was satisfactory, the overall experience was marred by unnecessary trouble and lack of professionalism. Despite booking a follow-up appointment for a single process color with Denise, the salon unexpectedly canceled it, citing personal reasons. This abrupt change left me questioning the salon's commitment to customer satisfaction. The subsequent interactions with the manager and Denise only added to my disappointment, as they refused to accommodate my request for another stylist. The unprofessional behavior and lack of accountability ultimately led me to decide against returning to the salon. I do not recommend their services.
