None of the sale items scanned at the discounted price. I informed the staff, and the cashier had to call the supervisor to adjust the prices manually. It was near closing time, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for all the customers who paid full price for sale items throughout the day. Moreover, some of the advertised items were missing from the shelves. Dollar General has repeatedly caused me financial losses, prompting me to double-check prices during checkout.
When I was set to check out, Gage was quite occupied. Even when I threw him a curveball by requesting an item whose name I couldn't recall, he managed to handle it skillfully while assisting other patrons. It was an impressive display of multitasking. Gage is truly a valuable asset to the store and the company.
In the past 36 hours, we visited around 17 Dollar General stores. Overall, the stores were clean, and the staff was friendly and courteous. If we were searching for specific items again, I wouldn't hesitate to repeat the experience.
