It seems that individuals can obtain complimentary pet food at the humane society. Recently, I accompanied a neighbor to the facility, and he left with bags of dog food for his furry friends. The community in Duncan appears to be sharply divided between those with resources and those without, with little interaction between the two. I appreciate the Humane Society's acknowledgment that humans have a responsibility to care for dogs, as we have domesticated and evolved them from wolves. We created them, so it is our duty to look after them.
