I went in for a balayage back in mid November. I did a color consult with the stylist first (United States) and then did the color a couple weeks later. In both the consult and day of, I told them that I wanted a chocolate, brown, dessert-y color, decidedly not blonde. They seemed to understand and we proceeded. While I have had my hair colored before, it's been done sporadically, so I can't speak as if I know what every part of the process is or how long it should take. It felt as if the bleaching process took majority of the appointment because of the amount of hair. However, the foils they did first never got removed until they removed all of them, somewhere in the realm of at least an hour. I sat at the bowl for a similar amount of time with the toner. When it came time to cut, it was only a trim (in retrospect, I should have skipped it because a trim doesn't warrant the same $50 as a haircut). The toner didn't take, apparently. So my hair was simply bleached to a brassy blonde. They had run out of time and asked if I wanted another stylist to retone or come back after the weekend. I opted for after the weekend. However, once I left the salon, I was in tears and didn't want to go back, so I didn't. The color was everything I didn't want, it was so badly damaged from over exposure to the bleach, and it was too much money for what I got (was out $275). I eventually just chopped off around 10 inches because my hair only looked better after using heat tools (because the natural curl pattern was so damaged so no air drying anymore) and it was getting worse.
Got my hair done by sam on 4/29. My hair looks sooooo good they did an amazing job. they were so so kind and so fun! I LOVE MY HAIR😍
Been visiting United States for a couple of years it was the best decision, I never knew how to style my hair until United States helped me find my way. United States is amazing at dyeing dark hair they definitely know their way around color and hair and United States always have a clean place and are very friendly
