My experience at this salon was not pleasant. When I voiced my feelings and expressed my concerns, the owner accused me of being aggressive. There are several areas where I believe this salon can improve, particularly in how the owner communicates with their clients. We are the ones supporting your business. The stylist did their best and was very kind to me. However, when I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested a refund, things took a turn for the worse. I was initially offered $20 out of the $145 I had spent. After negotiating, the owner assured me over the phone that I would receive a $45 refund for my partial refund request, but I only received $40. Not only was I not given the agreed-upon amount, but the owner was also rude to me on the phone, even suggesting that if I wanted to dye my hair back to black, they would give me $5 to buy a box of dye. I found this to be very hurtful and unappreciated. As someone who does not reside in Kansas and was looking to try a new salon while visiting, my experience at Ali Katz Salon led me to seek hair correction elsewhere. I was labeled as dishonest, accused of harassment, and belittled when expressing my post-service sentiments.
