I frequently treat myself to nail and toe pampering. For my birthday, I decided to have a pedicure with regular polish. However, I was informed that they don't do designs with regular polish. This made me question why I now needed gel polish when regular polish sufficed before. It felt like a ploy to upsell. This experience truly soured my birthday pedicure, and I am quite upset. A nail salon should be able to provide designs with regular polish without pushing customers to spend extra. I won't be recommending this nail salon anymore.
The organic dipping powder service was disappointing and not as advertised. After the second step, a gel top coat was applied, and my hands were placed under UV light. Within two days, the shine faded, and it appeared as if the powder was peeling. I opted for organic powder to avoid such issues. When I raised this concern, I was told that customers should already know what to expect and that this was the standard in the area unless you went to St. Charles. I found this misleading and argued that transparency is crucial. Typically, I have my nails done with the SnS complete system in the DC area. Moreover, the salon didn't even have the colors they advertised in stock, forcing me to choose blindly. The technician became confrontational, offering a refund only if I found another salon nearby that provided the service. I declined, mentioning that I earn enough not to waste time on a return visit while on vacation. Threatening to leave a negative review, the technician dismissively stated that it wouldn't matter as the local customers don't read reviews. This lack of respect for customers and the community is concerning. To add to the disappointment, my dipping powder chipped within a day, and the repair on my damaged big toe was poorly done. It's disheartening to see a business operate without regard for the people they serve. Why support such establishments?
