This establishment turned out to be quite disappointing. My spouse entered, clearly explained the desired style with visual references and requested only a minimal trim of 1 inch. To our dismay, five hours later - yes, five whole hours later - she found herself six inches shorter with a completely different hairstyle than she had shown the stylist. It took over two hours just to apply the foil. The individual, Lindsey, handling her hair seemed utterly inexperienced, and it appears Ulta hired her without proper qualifications. Furthermore, she attempted to add extra charges for services my wife never requested. While there may be skilled and seasoned stylists at Ulta, Lindsey certainly did not meet those standards. Perhaps she should consider practicing her craft at a different location, perhaps one affiliated with a charitable organization.
I typically enjoy shopping at Ulta, especially utilizing the online ordering with in-store pickup option. However, the experience at the Dalton branch was marred by the unprofessional and discourteous behavior of the young employees. Their constant gossiping about others, which I have overheard on multiple occasions, has led me to believe that they lack the necessary maturity and professionalism expected in such a setting. In fact, a formal complaint has been lodged with the corporate office regarding their conduct.
The process of in-store pickup is far from efficient. One waits for an associate, only to find that the barcode provided in the confirmation email is ineffective. Moreover, the overall demeanor of the young lady who checked me out today was quite unsatisfactory.
