There's a small café in St Simons, we'd drive to just for breakfast. There is now a small café in Dahlonega, we'd drive 3 hours to just for breakfast! The EGG SALAD BAGEL is AMAZING! The cinnamon roll is AMAZING! Grab a dozen assorted sweets for the road while you're there! Tell 'em Mr. Richard sent you!
Decided on my last day in this cute little town to visit the one cafe that I had not and it was interesting. When I walked in I was the only customer but was not greeted. I was not concerned until shortly after another gentleman came in and he was immediately greeted and a young lady walked over to his table. Well by then my order of a mocha with almond milk was placed. I received my order and paid but once I returned to my hotel I could not distinguish if my coffee had been made with almond milk so I checked my receipt and it was not printed there either so I had no other choice but to throw it away sadly.
Went here to order coffee and pastry while walking through the town. Kind of busy, but not overly slammed. There was 1 couple behind us in line. My better half asked for a latte. The attendant said they were too busy to make a latte. My daughter in law asked for cherry blossom green tea. The attendant charged for it, then said they were out of cherry blossom and we had to choose another flavor. We finished our order, paid and we entered the line after the couple behind us. Asked again for the latte, since no one was waiting to order and she again said they would not make the latte, not an espresso. Very disappointing, considering this is a cafe advertising coffee as a staple product. The peanut butter fudge drizzled cookie was really good and so was the canoli. However, regardless of how good the food was, I will never revisit this place because of the poor customer service I received. This lady could care less if she covered customer needs and that is bad for business. Such a great place, but very poor service. If you go, I can only hope you get better service than we did.
