Just had the most amazing experience in this place! I completely forgot about my nails for our engagement photos until the night before. S&T happened to be the only salon that was open late. The proprietress and her spouse both meticulously worked on my nails, showing exceptional attention to detail and taking their time, even though it was closing time. They graciously stayed well past their usual closing time, which I truly appreciated. They were incredibly kind, and both my partner and I absolutely adore how my nails turned out. I will definitely be returning!
As a hemipelegic, trying out a new beauty service is always a bit nerve-wracking for me the first time, but I was warmly welcomed, well taken care of, and I will definitely be returning.
An update 8 days later: every single one of my nails has started to come off. As someone who has been getting acrylics for years, I understand that some lifting can occur, but for every nail to be falling off so quickly is not due to rough handling - I'm a bartender and due to the pandemic, I haven't been using my hands much. $60 down the drain, and now I have to spend another $60 for a new set. I had a full set done here on 2/8, and I'm not one to complain, but each nail is uneven, reaches a different part of my cuticle, and the filing is subpar. It felt like they used children's craft scissors to trim down the nail tips. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I did notice they had some regular customers whose nails looked beautiful, so I'm sure they excel in other areas of service, but acrylic nails are not their strong suit.
