I have been searching endlessly for a place that is both comfortable and affordable, and I finally found it. I had an appointment with Lynn today and she was fantastic! I have very thick hair and whenever I ask for it to be thinned, I usually get disapproving looks, but Lynn offered before I even mentioned it. She was attentive and skilled at her job. I will definitely be returning!
This has been the most dreadful experience of my life. Bethany destroyed my healthy, lovely hair and it will take more than a year to recover. I went in for a perm and Bethany seemed confident, so I made the appointment. I left the salon with damaged, limp hair that was not even curly. I thought maybe it needed time, but soon realized something was amiss. I returned for her to "fix" it, hoping she would at least repair the damage. She said she would give me a "baby trim" to help cut off some damage. She ended up taking off almost 3 inches, as you can see in the photos. My hair is now not only damaged from her inability to do a proper perm, but it's also uneven as if a child cut it with scissors. To make matters worse, she never apologized. She tried to blame me and insisted she did her job. She kept trying to convince me that she had "given me curls". Please avoid Bethany. I wouldn't wish what she did to me on anyone.
This is a really enjoyable place for hair care needs. After being turned down by 5 other nearby establishments, Hair Etc. truly lived up to their "walk-ins welcome" sign, and I'm grateful they did because it was a truly unique experience! They were able to accommodate many customers, with a vintage beauty atmosphere and a barber shop that leaves you in awe the entire time you're there! They offer a wide range of services and the very positive staff has made this my new favorite spot. They handled my hair and my changing preferences so well, and were very kind and accommodating to my daughter who was with me and even gave her a complimentary lollipop.
