Just scheduled my first session for gel builder and gel pedicure. The ambiance was fantastic, appreciate the care taken and the patience shown in achieving the desired outcome. Delighted with the results on my nails and feet. A first dry pedicure experience, and it left my feet feeling incredibly smooth and soft, unlike previous places I've visited. The massage I received from Irica was excellent. However, my partner had a peculiar and almost disastrous massage with Rose. Instead of delivering the promised deep pressure, Rose kept applying layers of oil repeatedly, wiping it off, and reapplying more oil. There was minimal muscle manipulation. When questioned, Rose reduced the oil usage slightly and increased the massage pressure marginally. I went to Electric Flamingo for a nose piercing (my first). My experience there was wonderful from start to finish. It was a very calm, positive atmosphere and Justin Z was absolutely fantastic. They were professional, friendly, and completely tuned in to what I was communicating and attentive to my needs and any questions I had. The pain was minimal and I attribute much of that to their skill. The service I got did not justify the $530 price tag. Unprofessional and lacking experience. The images on Google do not reflect reality. What really irked me was when I wore my glasses and noticed my eyebrows were not properly shaped. I reached out to Sherry/Assistant, but no corrective action was taken. They don't value their customers. It's been a few months, but I couldn't stay silent until I wrote this review. Do your research because there are others who do a better and more professional job. What truly bothers me is that one of my eyebrows is consistently higher than the other. I made it clear that my face is not asymmetrical. Sherry did a poor job. I vowed never to return to this establishment, but I decided to give them another chance. To no surprise, my nails look dreadful, and the service was subpar. I requested gel x, which I inquired about before commencing to ensure they could accommodate my request. However, the nails they applied were too small, making my hands appear jagged. The price quoted over the phone always differs in person, and during the pricing breakdown, the staff feigned language barriers. I have resolved never to revisit this place. Claire's in Penbrook is fantastic. They follow COVID guidelines, offer a wide selection at affordable prices, and the staff is very helpful with promotions. It's a perfect spot for gifts for preteens and kids who love sparkly accessories.
