There are multiple stylists at this salon, and we have been regular customers for a long time. However, today we had a very upsetting experience. My son has autism and is sensitive to having his neck trimmed. I specifically instructed his stylist not to trim that area because it upsets him and makes him move. I had to go to my stylist, and when I returned to my son, he was screaming and crying. His stylist had forcefully held his head while cutting his neck, causing a messy cut due to his movements. Despite reminding her of the instructions, she insisted on fixing it until I had to raise my voice for her to stop. The most frustrating part was that they still charged me the full price for the ruined haircut and the distress caused to my son. Cutting a child's hair when they move is challenging, but it does not excuse disregarding instructions and using force.
For a $15 haircut, they provide excellent service. I have been a loyal customer for nine years, even when the haircut cost just under $10. I bring my children and husband here, and they do a great job with kids. If you know your child will be fidgety during the haircut, please do not just leave them with the stylist. They are stylists, not babysitters. I cannot recall all the stylist's names, but I highly recommend Lupe, Mercedes, Maria, and the two barbers at the back, a woman and a young man.
I visited this salon to get my hair styled for prom, and it was a disaster. The stylist who worked on me cut my hair unevenly and messed up my bangs. When we raised our concerns to the owner, they insisted that it was done correctly and just needed styling. The stylist offered to fix it, but I declined. They claimed that in all their years of business, no one had ever had a bad experience. I left the salon in tears but thankfully found another salon that did an excellent job and gave me the hairstyle I wanted. I will not be returning here.
