I recently gifted my mom a gift card here after searching stylist photos for a while on the internet to find someone who I knew she’d be comfortable with and who would be able to give her lots of beautiful layers like she wanted. I decided on Myranda here at Euphoria. She had beautiful photos online of her work, and the cost here is very reasonable. My mom does not go to salons and is very anxious about getting her hair cut. So she was feeling excited after I showed her some of Myranda’s photos online. We booked her appt, about 2 weeks out because that was the time the stylist had available. Not a problem. A cut, wash, and style. Well, we arrived and was greeted by a sweet guy named Mason. He immediately said Myranda was still with a client but he could start my mom’s wash, or go ahead and do her cut too. That seemed odd to me, because we booked with Myranda for a reason, so she wouldn’t likely want someone else to do it. We asked how long she would be, we could see her in the front chair easily within talking distance, doing extensions in a client, and we could hear her. But she never spoke to us directly or even stopped to come explain she wouldn’t be free to do the cut. She told him 15 minutes. My mom said fine, he could go ahead and wash her and we could wait for Myranda to do her cut and style. Well, he immediately takes her back and starts doing her cut first. My mom would never speak up, because again, she was anxious. I didn’t say anything further. Mason was very professional and kind, and was obviously put in a position to cover for someone who had double booked for a client who would bring in more money. I felt bad he was put in that position. He was done with my mom, who has a massive amount of hair, in under an hour. And she did not get even close to the cut she desired. See photos for inspo pic shown and what my mom’s hair looks like. He was so kind, but it was 4:30, he was doing a client he wasn’t supposed to be doing, and was clearly in a hurry to be done as they closed at 5. Afterwards, I asked him if it was typical to book there and not be done by the stylist you booked with. I explained why we specially asked for Miranda and we’re hoping for her. To which he said no, Myranda was just behind so he offered so we didn’t have to wait. Again, very kind. Take note it’s an hour later and Myranda was still working, so the 15 minute time frame she previously gave was not an honest response when we initially asked how long she would be. I told him it was concerning to book again in the future because you may not know who you will get. He assured me that wasn’t the case. Again, we were standing in an open doorway away from Myranda and she could easily hear us, as I could hear her and her client and see her working. She never spoke to us or apologized or explained the situation at all. She left it all to the gentleman helping us. It felt very discouraging that just because we weren’t an extensions payout, our booking wasn’t valued. It is a big deal to be trusted with someone’s hair, and to be booked with specially. I’d be honored. Regardless of the service requested. It felt very much like the lesser paying service wasn’t a valued client or booking. Even if she had just called my mom to say, hey, I can’t see you at this time can we do another time? Understandable! But to leave the client to someone else, with no warning, and no decency to even speak to her personally just seemed very bel
