The latest self-service checkout is absolutely dreadful. Sometimes, you end up in a slow cashier line. Given how sluggish the cashiers are, everyone should be allowed to use the self-checkout. Additionally, the cashiers don't seem to know how to properly bag groceries. I once saw them place cold cheese in the same bag as a hot rotisserie chicken.
The checkout lines here are unbelievably slow! I dread shopping at this store solely because of the checkout process. I've waited for up to 30 minutes, and the lines are always excessively long. They are probably short-staffed but refuse to hire more employees, which is absolutely absurd. Unfortunately, this is the only store in Clinton, so I have no other choice but to shop here.
Are you seriously telling me that there are eight registers designated for 15 items or less, all empty, while 30 people are waiting in line for only 2 manned registers? It makes no sense at all. This situation only leads to frustration and chaos. Instead of having 3 employees monitoring the self-checkout, they should be assisting at the registers! I refuse to wait an hour to purchase items I didn't even need. This is precisely why I avoid shopping at Walmart unless it's absolutely necessary.
