I stopped visiting this place a few months back due to the manicurist filing my gel nails so thin that it was painful to use my hands for days. It took 6 months for my nails to grow back healthy. I've been going elsewhere since then, but decided to give Nations another try last week because of its convenient location. When I walked in, I was greeted with a curt "what color do you want?" The manicurist was busy giving a pedicure to another client. I approached her and explained my previous experience, requesting that my gel be soaked off instead of ground. She seemed annoyed by my request, saying she needed to use a dremel just to remove the top coat shine. When it was my turn, she lightly ground my nails, wrapped and soaked them in foil while doing the pedicure. She didn't introduce herself or engage in any conversation, so I don't know her name, but her chair was the first one by the phone and register. She seemed very annoyed to be working on my nails.
After the pedicure, she motioned for me to move to her chair and started grinding away. When I pulled my hand back to check, she said, "it's okay, I have to do this. Don't worry." All my nail beds were filed paper-thin again, and less than 4 days later, the gel started chipping (see photos). It will take months to grow healthy nails again, and I caution others to stay away from this place. Rude, expensive, disregarded my request, ruined my nails, chipping after 4 days! I'm not sure if all the staff is this bad, but I will NEVER go back to find out!
