Cedrick Whitlock is truly a master barber! His skills are unparalleled, and he goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Not to mention, he's a genuinely wonderful individual all around.
I clearly communicated my desired look to the student stylist - just touch up the roots and leave the rest as is. However, things took a turn when one instructor advised on colors, only for another to contradict the initial suggestion. The end result left me dissatisfied, with both the stylist and myself in agreement. It was evident that the stylist was simply following instructions. Overhearing discussions among stylists confirmed that such incidents were not uncommon. Spending hours at the salon, I felt compelled to leave a generous tip for the stylist, despite the outcome not meeting my expectations. My hair, which was meant to have only the roots touched up, ended up fully colored. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone.
My experience at the Cedar Falls establishment since 2018 has been consistently outstanding. I've been serviced by 9 skilled student barbers, all of whom have received top-notch training and delivered impeccable haircuts. The instructors show unwavering dedication, offering valuable feedback to their students and ensuring quality work before I walk out the door. Exceptional cuts at an unbeatable price!
