My sons and I have been going to Alex for many years. He helped my oldest son through a very difficult time with Acne and was there to offer excellent treatment and caring support. He was gentle and compassionate and went out of his way to help us. His passion for skin care is evident in the deep research he is constantly doing to stay updated on the latest science and products. I scheduled the Organic Custom Facial and Revitalizing Scalp Massage with Nicole and she exceeded my expectations! This was my first time getting a facial and I was a bit hesitant, but Nicole created such a serene and rejuvenating experience. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other spas in the Raleigh area. Absolutely abysmal customer care at this establishment. Despite my attempts to cancel an appointment being denied, I arrived for the scheduled session only to find the therapist absent. They refused to provide a refund or offer a massage during my visit. I had a fantastic experience. Alex really took the time to grasp exactly what I desired for my balayage and created a stunning, authentic look. It's evident she's a master at her craft. Sam gave me the ideal cut, customizing it to suit my face and style. Both Alex and Sam were incredibly warm and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire appointment. The most dreadful haircut I've ever received. I requested a straight cut, even presenting examples of non-layered hair, and to frame my face. He added layers which I absolutely did not want or request, and my hair is so uneven on both sides and lacks symmetry. I perused reviews before opting for this establishment and assumed I'd be in capable hands, but this is the worst haircut I've ever had. And when I reached out to rectify it, they suggested I return to allow him to "fix it"! There should not be anything that requires fixing, but given that there is, I would never allow the individual who botched it initially to touch my hair again! It would have to be cut even shorter to even it out, and it's already shorter than what I requested. To compound the issue, my hair grows incredibly slowly, so I'm stuck with this botched job for months until it grows out enough for someone else to rectify. I can't believe I paid for this cut. They curled and styled it before rushing me out, so I didn't notice how dreadful it was until I showered at home. I've never encountered any issues with GlowRx in Cary; their service is exceptional. However, the experience at GlowRx in Durham was a different story. There was a continuous turnover of staff, and despite being promised a zero APR promo rate on Care Credit, I never received it. I had to cancel a service due to my medical condition and requested a refund, but with the constant change in employees, I kept getting the runaround. Today was another frustrating experience in Durham; I had an appointment scheduled, but the employee I was supposed to see was no longer there, leading me to drive back to Cary once again. While the service is fantastic and the staff is friendly when things are in order, the Durham location needs to improve its organization. Therefore, I rate the Cary office 4 stars, as I split my rating between 5 stars for Cary and 1 star for Durham. I'll accept my losses, complete my treatments in Cary, and continue paying for services I never received. My first Brazilian experience was exceptional. Jordan was incredibly kind and did a great job explaining everything. The pricing is fair, and there's no pressure to do anything you're not comfortable with. Highly recommend! For those curious, I'd rate the pain as an average of 4.5/10, with the most painful part being a 7/10 :)About
