Boutte rescued me in a hair crisis after a stylist I had an appointment with canceled on me a couple of hours before. She was understanding, empathetic, and speedy! Moreover, she was quite affordable and managed to create my desired style (for a wedding) with no issues. I was only in town for the wedding, but if I ever find myself back in the area, I will happily return for a loc maintenance session. Thank you, Boutte!
We selected this spot based on great reviews and photos. My child visited today for a silk press with a trim and was charged $95 upfront. Had I known this, we would’ve gone elsewhere as I’ve never paid the full amount upfront for a service not yet done. Maybe half, but never the full sum. I wish I had gone with her, but she took an Uber. When I picked her up, I had to wait an extra 5 minutes because they decided to take photos once she mentioned she was leaving, even though they could’ve taken them earlier. She finished at least 15 minutes before I arrived. However, you wouldn’t believe she just left a salon. Her hair looked like she had just finished a marathon, very frizzy, as if she had it done a week ago. There was visible white residue from the edge control product they used. The trim looks awful… I could’ve and would’ve done a much better job, but I simply didn’t have the time. If I didn’t have somewhere to be, I would’ve spoken to the manager and tried to get her money back. There’s no way this disaster should’ve cost $95. Simply terrible. She’s 18, and I wish she had spoken up more before leaving, but oh well, lesson learned. I definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Photos were taken as soon as we got home. She’s not pleased, lol, shaking my head.
