I had Maria do my hair, and she did a fantastic job. She was incredibly friendly and styled my hair beautifully for prom. I would definitely go back!
I visited the salon on 2/6 for 4 feed-in braids. Initially, I was hesitant to try the salon since it was my first time, but I decided to give it a shot rather than driving an hour to North Jersey for just 4 feed-in braids. I called ahead and was given a specific time to come in. They promptly started on my hair, which was good. As the braider progressed, she allowed me to inspect the braids, and at that moment, they seemed fine, so she continued. It wasn't until I got home and used a hand mirror to check my style that I noticed the parts were not straight. I didn't expect this issue from a salon. I reached out to one of the braiders, who might have been the owner. Initially, she defended the crooked parts by saying the braids looked nice. She offered to redo my hair if I returned to the salon within 3 days. Unfortunately, I couldn't do that as I was leaving for vacation. I am very disappointed that I paid $70 ($60 for the service and a $10 tip) for a style that did not meet salon quality. I have had my hair braided many times before and never had to worry about crooked parts. Next time, I will make the drive to North Jersey.
I am thrilled with our experience. I traveled for an hour and a half for them to do our hair, and they did an exceptional job. Highly recommend. Very professional, offering great opinions. Definitely worth every penny.
