Just left the salon, and I am satisfied with the service. I arrived at BK and sought a nail salon for my natural nails. After several failed attempts, I finally found one. Rain did an excellent job, and I am very pleased with the results. A definite must-visit for nail care.
The first times I visited this place, they always delivered exactly what I requested. However, this recent visit was a disaster. I asked for Pure Black dip powder with tips, but the lady refused to do tips, claiming it would take too long. Whose nails are these, mine or hers? She proceeded to mix the powder with liquid and applied it thickly on my nails. Despite my repeated inquiries of "Is this dip powder?" she insisted it was, even though both the technician and other customers around us looked confused by her work. Turns out, it was acrylic, not dip powder. The color I ended up with was not Pure Black but a dark, sparkly gray which I find unattractive. She made the nails overly thick, despite my request for them to be thin, citing my supposedly curved nail as the reason. This has never been an issue at any other salon, especially since my nail is not curved. She also placed the nails far from the cuticle and advised me to return in two weeks for a fill, as if they would last that long. The work was messy, rushed, and got underneath my nails. I paid $55 and left a tip as usual, but I will be going back tomorrow to have them redone. They look like chiclets, and I hate them.
