Went in on Sunday to retrieve my silver pendant from the mid 1800s for cleaning. I received it back, and it appeared painted white or platinum, completely ruined. I inquired why it looked that way, expressing its sentimental value as a family heirloom since I was three. The woman callously replied, "No," dismissing my concerns. She even questioned its authenticity, claiming real silver wouldn't look like that. I felt insulted by her attitude and lack of respect for cherished possessions. I demand a refund for the botched service. I found a reputable place on Knickerbocker that correctly identified it as real silver and provided the appropriate care. I will never return here.

The jewelry here is inexpensive, reflecting its quality. I changed my two-year-old nose piercing to a hoop, resulting in severe irritation within hours. Upon returning to replace it with a flat back stud, I was advised my piercing wasn't ready, despite wearing similar jewelry for two years. They recommended an L screw, which I suspected would cause irritation due to its protrusion, and indeed, it did. I hesitate to recommend their piercing jewelry, especially for sensitive piercings.

The younger staff members at this establishment are pleasant and skilled. However, during my recent visit, an older individual performed my septum piercing, resulting in a crooked placement. When I politely raised the issue, he blamed me, suggesting I retry the piercing in 10 days or opt for a different one. Instead of offering a refund or an apology, he shifted the blame onto me. I typically trust this place due to the competence of other staff members, but I advise against seeking services from this particular older man, often present during night shifts. It's not about the money but the audacity to fault the customer. If you lack proficiency in piercings, refrain from performing them.
