I must say, I had a similar experience here. Showed a photo, clearly explained what I wanted, emphasized the importance of leaving enough length to part my hair, and just trimming the sides with a 2... What did I get? A 2 all the way up to my part, no fade in sight. It's frustrating to feel like the barber was rushing to finish rather than focusing on getting it right. Now I'm stuck looking like a fool for a month until this mess grows out.
I have to express my disappointment with this establishment. I had to restrain myself from confronting them due to the intense anger and frustration I felt. I inquired about walk-ins and explained that my four-year-old son, who has autism, needed a haircut. I made sure to mention his condition and asked if they were comfortable with it. They assured me it was fine and put us on the list. When I asked how long the wait would be, they said 50 minutes. Despite the promise of distractions like TVs and sports murals, my son and his grandmother waited in the lobby for nearly two hours after arriving early. The barber kept taking others with appointments but never once checked in on us. Eventually, my mother had enough and left. Absolutely appalling behavior, in my honest opinion. We went to another salon where they took us immediately, and the barber even cut my son's hair in the lobby to make him feel at ease. She was fantastic with his autism. I strongly advise against coming here if you expect any compassion or consideration for children with disabilities. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience pushed me to do so for the first time.
My previous visit here was fine, so I thought I'd give it another shot. Maya ended up giving me the worst haircut I've ever had. I just wanted a simple fade and a trim on top, but it felt like I was a guinea pig for someone learning how to cut hair. The fade was uneven and poorly done. I immediately booked an appointment at Landon Maxwell up the street as soon as I left. I understand everyone starts somewhere, but this was a whole new level. Maya either needs more practice or a new career path.
