My partner arranged a couples massage as a surprise, and it was the most dreadful experience I have ever had. I have had numerous massages in my life, and this massage was terrible. As we were getting settled, the therapist entered, and then the receptionist also came in for a moment as if something was
I’m still fuming after a week. I phoned and scheduled an appointment for a lymphatic massage which costs $120.00 per hour. I was informed that they had a couple of therapists trained in lymphatic massage. I requested to be booked with the most experienced therapist. The individual I spoke with recommended Coco. I can’t recall if it was a text message or a transcribed voicemail that mentioned one therapist had an emergency and they discovered they were double booked. They asked me to change my appointment time slightly earlier or later. I mentioned I could come on another day but they informed me that by the time I called back the issue was resolved. When I arrived, the therapist was running ten minutes behind schedule and I laid on the table in an empty room until she arrived. In walked another therapist, who was not Coco. The therapist proceeded with the massage. She massaged my right leg with one stroke for 20 minutes. I'm not exaggerating. The same stroke repeatedly. Then for the next 20 minutes, she did the same stroke on my left leg. Once again, the same stroke repeatedly. At that point, I was almost ready to leave. Since I had never had a lymphatic massage before, I decided to remain patient. She spent about 10 minutes on my abdomen and the last 10 minutes on my arms, neck, face, and shoulders. And finally, the massage concluded. I settled my bill and gave the therapist an $18.00 tip, which was just 15%. I tipped her because I felt she was caught in the middle of the scheduling issue. She seemed unsure of what she was doing. Since it was my first lymphatic massage, I researched it when I got home. I discovered that a lymphatic massage focuses on areas of the lymphatic system, such as the groin, underarms, and neck. I went for the massage because my body was retaining fluid. Well, my body is still retaining that fluid but now I have wasted an hour and forty minutes (including travel time) and $138.00. I'm upset that they deceived me, switched therapists, and assigned me someone who clearly lacked knowledge in this area.
This establishment has undergone SIGNIFICANT changes, from pricing to customer service. I have been a patron for 3 years straight and as of today 6/28/24 I have been purposely disconnected by the manager three separate times!!!! The lack of listening ability, patience, and customer loyalty skills is excessive. I missed a last-minute appointment in April and without my knowledge, there has been a PREPAYMENT & 20% gratuity added to my account for that reason. While trying to explain how steep that was for a loyal patron, I was consistently talked over until I was eventually abruptly disconnected. I was not rude or anything while expressing my case as a loyal patron during this incident. And so when I protested being cut off mid-sentence, this "manager" continued speaking over me. At this point, she had not disclosed that she was the manager (a lie, I'm sure) until I called back a 3rd time from a different number and calmly requested a manager. She then claimed she was the manager and that she would be "happy" to speak with me and promptly hung up!!!!!! $120 for an hour massage, RIDICULOUS!!!
I HOPE ANY LOSS OF BUSINESS THEY FACE ILLUSTRATES THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MAINTAINS TRUST AND LOYALTY. I was still willing to continue despite the increased prices until NOW!!!
