I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment. Initially, I had high expectations based on their Instagram and website, for which I made a deposit. However, my scheduled appointment started two hours late without any acknowledgment or compensation for the delay. Despite requesting small box braids, the braider seemed unfamiliar with the style and even needed a reference photo. To my dismay, the braids did not turn out as small as I had envisioned. Although I raised my concerns during the session, I regret not leaving when my instincts told me the braids were not being done as requested.
My experience was marred by a 30-minute delay from the braider, even though I arrived early for my appointment. There was a miscommunication regarding the cost, as the amount quoted over the phone was not relayed to the braider. Consequently, she requested additional payment after learning about the hairstyle I desired. Despite these hiccups, I was pleased with the final outcome of my hair. The braider demonstrated precision and attentiveness in parting my hair to match my specifications.
I am quite disappointed with the discrepancy in the pricing. The amount I was informed of online did not align with what I was charged after the service. Despite being satisfied with my hair, the final cost was significantly higher than anticipated. I had expected to pay a maximum of $180, even though I provided my own hair, I ended up paying $240. The length of the braids is not as long as bra strap length, yet that is what I was billed for. Being new to this style, I was unsure of what to expect. I value transparency in pricing and am currently searching for a braid shop that upholds their quoted prices.
