My child with special needs visited the beauty salon for a foot and nail treatment. They billed her $150 for toes that weren't fully painted and nails that came off the same day. I inquired about the cost of gel tips - $70, and a gel pedicure - $40. However, they charged her $150 and did a terrible job. They took advantage of someone with special needs. Although I've been a loyal customer for a long time, they always treated her well when we were present, but her young caregiver brought her this time. We won't be returning, they are nice to your face but exploit the disabled.
I've been a regular at this place for a while now and I absolutely adore it! I've read the feedback and honestly, it's a mixed bag. It really comes down to personal preference. I tried acrylics for the first time and even though I'm only 13, I'm totally in love with them! Check them out.
I don't know the name of the woman I encountered today. She was older, with dark hair, bangs, and thick glasses perched on the tip of her nose. I just came in for a pedicure and opted for gel. It cost $80. I've never been charged more than $65, but oh well. When I reached the counter to pay, she was waiting with her hand out, and as I fumbled with the money, I handed her what I THOUGHT was $82. I apologized for not leaving a good tip and mentioned I needed the extra money for my dog. She smiled and nodded. After leaving, I counted my money. I had $75 in one pocket and $87 in another. Realizing something was off, I decided to go back inside. Politely, I asked her to return the money I had just given her so I could recount it. She handed me $82. Doubting myself, I thought maybe I miscounted my wallet. I sat down outside and thought, "this isn't right." Back inside I went, requesting all the money back to double-check. She complied, and after counting, it totaled $122. I removed my two twenties and confronted her, "I told you I gave you too many $20s and you tried to deceive me!" She replied, "Oh, I thought you gave it to me." I retorted, "Why would I leave you a $40 tip, lady?!" and left. While I usually receive excellent service there, this will be my final visit to that salon. If possible, I'd rate them zero stars.
