AVOID THAT PLACE. I went there and my eye hurt after just one day. I reached out to the customer service, but the owner was incredibly impolite and claimed there was nothing they could do. They abruptly ended the call and advised me to never return. Unbelievable. What's even more amusing is their statement that in 11 years no one has had any issues, yet all the Google reviews are complaints.
I scheduled a simple lash tint appointment at Yumi because it was close to my home and I could easily fit it in between work meetings. Being new to the area, I was on the hunt for a reliable place to regularly tint my naturally white blonde lashes. Unfortunately, this won't be my go-to spot. It turned out to be a dreadful experience. I had an appointment for a lash tint at 3:30. By 3:40, the receptionist mentioned it would just be a minute longer. After waiting for 20 minutes, I inquired about the delay. It was only at 3:50 that my appointment finally began. The individual who performed the service (Nicole C. - not even sure if it was her as she never introduced herself) was subpar. She lacked any sense of customer service - no greetings, no inquiries about my preferences. From the get-go, she tried to upsell me on various brow and lash products. Moreover, while the tint was setting, she engaged in a discussion with a male colleague right beside me about a business matter, a $149 service payment, and an issue with entering it into the system. This was the antithesis of good service. If I hadn't been laying with lash tint on my eyes, I would have spoken up and left immediately. I felt exposed. Additionally, she was excessively harsh while cleaning my eyes and lashes. To top it off, she insisted I needed their growth serum and mascara. In reality, I did not. I will never return. It was a terrible experience. No wonder the place was deserted.
