I spontaneously scheduled an appointment at this establishment after seeing the glowing reviews. As a chronic nail biter and cuticle picker, I decided to try gel-x to break these habits. I noticed they were one of the few salons in the region offering this service and I was thoroughly impressed! June handled my nails with great care, ensuring I wasn't in pain due to my compromised cuticles. I will definitely return!
Today marked my first visit to Velvet Nails. The salon is stunning, albeit a bit noisy with a lot happening around. My nail technician was Tina. She kept trimming my nails shorter and shorter, occasionally filing my skin. Despite her suggestion that I should have grown my nails longer for the manicure, she continued to shorten them. The paint job was decent, although there was excess polish under my nails and on my skin. I requested a pink French manicure, but she only did the white tips, which was fine. The massages and lavender scents I chose were delightful. Although I had to ask her multiple times to fix the paint and to stop shortening my nails, overall, it was a positive experience and I will return.
