I visited this barbershop a few months back for a basic haircut because they advertised men's haircuts for $20. Always on the lookout for a good deal, I went in only to find out that the male hairstylist informed me it would be $25, not $20 as advertised, citing that he had to use scissors on my haircut and I was a new client! I was quite taken aback when he proceeded to make derogatory comments about Trans Barber (next door) stealing all his customers and how he trained their entire staff as a highly qualified hairstylist! In truth, I was not impressed with my haircut, and since I walked in there under false pretenses (regarding the price), I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Interestingly, I recently passed by the shop and the $20 price is still displayed, but I opted to go next door to Trans for $25 as advertised and was very pleased with the haircut!
It is always uncomfortable to have to negotiate over the quality and pricing for a luxury service. My sibling and I are new to the region and we phoned ahead to request 2 full sets and a pedicure, but unfortunately, the experience was one of our worst. We had an appointment, but upon arrival, I was informed that there wasn't enough time for a new set, so I settled for a fill. The result was okay but not the best considering the cost. My sibling asked for an acrylic set but received a powder dip in a bubblegum pink shade she didn’t request, and the technician didn’t communicate with her to confirm. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if the quality wasn't so poor; not only was she cut, but a few of her nails are different shapes. Communication is a significant problem among the staff here, and the overall experience was not good, nor were the mistakes rectified. We ended up paying double the quoted price and only received one properly executed service, the pedicure. Would not recommend.
I have been going to David for my haircuts for over ten years, and he is exceptional! I cannot stress enough how professional, kind, and courteous he is. He and his team are top-notch! I highly recommend this hidden gem!
