My mother adores this salon, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience, possibly due to my Mexican heritage. The quality of my nails was subpar, leading me to request a removal. To my dismay, I was charged $24 for the manicure, which ended up damaging my nails. :(
On September 19, 2024, I received services at Q NAILS. I opted for a no-chip manicure and a polish change using chrome nail polish. Despite requesting a specific chrome color, the technician, Tee Tee, chose a different shade without my consent. The polish began to chip and lose its shine the next day. When I returned on September 20, 2024, I was met with rudeness. An Asian employee sprayed water on my hair without permission, claiming it would enhance the polish's shine. He demanded an additional $25 for a polish change, despite my previous visit. His attitude was disrespectful and condescending. I felt discriminated against as a black American woman, as he treated me unfairly. I was denied a different polish and was forced to pay for a service I did not request. His behavior was unacceptable, and I urge others to avoid this establishment. The lack of customer service and respect is appalling. Please refrain from visiting Nel shop.
The pedicure was satisfactory, but the nail service fell short. Despite showing the technician, Sam, a reference image of my desired nails twice, he failed to deliver. He displayed no empathy or concern when I expressed my dissatisfaction. He did not offer to redo the nails, even after seeing my disappointment. His unfriendly demeanor left me appalled, and I will not be returning. These nails were for my birthday trip, and I am thoroughly let down.
