Joe truly excels in their craft. I had my first balayage done here last year and received numerous compliments; it lasted a long time without turning brassy. Recently, I went back for another balayage, and the results are stunning. Joe demonstrates a deep technical understanding of hair and shows their experience by personally attending to each customer, taking the time to address questions or concerns. Their honesty is refreshing, yet they are receptive to your goals, which I appreciate as many stylists tend to give in to your desires rather than considering what's best for your hair. Overall, it was a fantastic experience; they offered water to everyone and even provided a sample of a hair repair treatment.
I've frequented this salon for a few years since discovering it randomly on Yelp. I had only received haircuts previously (all the stylists are wonderful!), but recently decided to have my hair dyed. Joe is extremely knowledgeable and professional; after showing him a photo, he perfectly replicated the color I desired. The process took some time (4-5 hours), but my very dark, Asian hair came out relatively unscathed after bleaching - quite an achievement! Plus, compared to other NYC prices, it was surprisingly affordable. I cannot recommend this salon enough.
Joe always seeks advice before starting the balayage ombre process. I value their honesty as I desired very light blonde hair, but knew it was not feasible due to my mistake of dyeing the top half of my hair with black dye, making it difficult to achieve the desired lightness in one session. Joe promised to do their best and the color lifted significantly, impressing me! I adore the outcome and plan to return in a few months for another blonde lift to avoid excessive damage to my hair. I also received a hair treatment that prevented further damage and had a delightful scent. The overall service and atmosphere in this salon are excellent; they provide bottled water, and Joe gifted me a sample of a hair treatment for future use to maintain the health of my hair. They have two assistants for the bleaching/dyeing process, making it much quicker than other salons I've visited. I highly recommend coming here for your balayage ombre needs.
