They canceled my appointment just 20 minutes before it was scheduled, and I was already at the counter to check in when it happened. The manager on duty walked right past me without acknowledging me, and I assumed she would come back. But it seems like she was deliberately avoiding me.

I intentionally refrain from sharing my phone number with Ulta and am not a member of their loyalty/rewards program. I am aware that I need to retain my receipt for returns, but when I attempted to return a product today (with my receipt), they informed me that they could not process a return without a phone number, even with the original receipt. Not once have I been informed of this, nor is it stipulated anywhere in their return policy. There is no justification for anyone to be compelled to provide a retailer with personal information for a return that adheres to the business's written and verbal return policy.
