Charging $200 for a massage should come with top-notch quality. I needed a deep massage, but what I got felt more like a light rubdown. I've had better experiences from TSA agents at the airport, and those are free.
I recently used credits from my generous employer to book a massage at Massage Envy, but it was a letdown. I had hoped for a soothing and expert session, but various problems made it hard to relax. The therapist seemed inexperienced, giving inconsistent pressure and using rushed or uncomfortable techniques. They didn't focus much on the areas I needed attention on. Additionally, the therapist's attitude was rude, with short responses and a lack of care. Despite booking a 60-minute massage, it only lasted around 45 minutes, leaving me feeling stressed rather than rejuvenated. The service and customer care fell far short of expectations. I left more tense than when I arrived and wouldn't recommend this place.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The staff here is extremely impolite. I visited with some friends for a day out, and they assigned me a therapist who wasn't the gender I had requested when making the reservation. They should offer a gender-neutral option if available, to avoid such issues. When I asked to cancel, they insisted on charging me. While my friends enjoyed their massages, I was left waiting in the lobby, with the therapist simply telling me to "enjoy the waiting room." The whole experience was disrespectful and unprofessional.
