Honestly, if they hadn't caused me discomfort and insisted on a gel manicure after I declined, then told me it would be discounted due to the mishap but ended up charging me more - presuming I wouldn't tip, I'm certain - my review wouldn't be as negative. I arrived earlier than my scheduled time to have my acrylics removed, and they handled it efficiently and courteously, offering me refreshments. The establishment is clean and pleasant, and although they are a bit pushy, they were polite enough that I didn't feel the need to argue, so I paid and left. It was my first visit, and the overall experience was quite disappointing. Even when faced with unfavorable situations, I never take it out on the staff. While I won't be returning, it's not the worst place in Albany to get your nails done; just exercise caution as not all staff may be skilled or experienced in acrylic removal.
Absolutely fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent at this establishment, and as a first-time visitor, I was truly impressed. The customer service was exceptional, with the owner personally attending to guests, offering snacks and beverages, and the staff doing an outstanding job of ensuring I felt well taken care of. Sophia did a phenomenal job on my nails, which turned out stunning, and Kora provided the most delightful pedicure and relaxing massage I've had in a while. I will definitely become a regular client, despite not being a local resident. I don't mind driving 30 minutes for such exceptional service, even if it means doing so daily.
As a frequent patron of Sarah's Hair Studio for many years, I have recently observed a noticeable decline in the level of service provided. Despite having scheduled appointments, I have found myself waiting for close to half an hour during my last three visits. Today was particularly disheartening. I arrived for my routine bi-weekly maintenance anticipating the usual meticulous care, but unfortunately, this was the result. (see attached image.) This inconsistency in service has been disheartening, especially considering my previous positive encounters. I hope the salon management takes necessary measures to enhance their service quality and efficiency.
