I adore this salon; they offer facials using all-natural products. It's a serene environment with pleasant conversation and a focus on inner healing. This salon nourishes the soul without any gossiping.
I am utterly stunned by the way Rahlene (salon owner) completely messed up my hair. I had been a loyal customer for around 3 years, visiting every 6 weeks for relaxer and coloring rinse. I even referred 6 friends and family members to her. However, in the end, only my sister and I remained loyal to her. Despite my severe back pain, I endured long Thursday appointments. The situation improved during and after the pandemic as she enforced limits on the number of clients in the salon. Rahlene lacks creativity as a stylist and shouldn't even be considered a stylist... I always ended up with the same style regardless of what I requested. I reached a point where I would just say, "as long as I can still put it in a ponytail, I'm fine." And like clockwork, by Friday, my hair would be up in a ponytail. She must have been keeping tabs on me because I started experimenting with color on my own between visits and even went to a high-end salon once, which was about 12 weeks since I last saw her. She had a condescending attitude when she saw me and my sister, making snide remarks in a joking manner like "you're always doing something different with your hair" and "look at how damaged it is at the ends" (which was true, but there's a reason for it). She continued to grumble and eventually insisted on giving me a trim due to the damage. I repeated my usual request for a ponytail length. She cut my hair, and I noticed she swiftly swept the floor. It wasn't until the next day at a family gathering that I truly examined my hair and realized she had chopped off about 4-5 inches! The breakage around the edges was because I mistakenly washed my sleep nets and caps with clothing soap in a lingerie bag instead of using shampoo. Lesson learned. Spite in business will ultimately lead to downfall...
I took my son to this salon for a new hairstyle since he had been growing his hair out, and traditional barbers weren't meeting his needs anymore. The salon had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly. It's a great place for a hair transformation.
