Mr. Tim was exceptional! My son dislikes having his face or hair touched, and Mr. Tim got down to his level, played with him before starting the haircut, and even brought the haircut to him at the toy table to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. Not a single tear was shed. We will definitely return and highly recommend Mr. Tim. I cannot praise my first experience here enough!
We drove 45 minutes for our 14-month-old's first haircut. Vickie was pleasant but did not provide the expected enjoyable experience for a first haircut here. She lacked the patience and calming presence needed for a scared and squirmy toddler in a new setting. She requested us, the parents, to step back at the start of the cut and eventually wanted us out of sight, causing our son to panic being left alone with a stranger. Despite our respect for her professionalism, we complied with her requests. I ended up holding him on my lap to complete the haircut, and then she asked us to restrain his arms while he cried so she could finish the back of his neck and around his ears. She appeared rushed and did not allow time for him to calm down or provide comfort (the cut lasted only about 15 minutes, so we were not there long). In the final moments of the cut, one of the receptionists came to sing songs and blow bubbles, which greatly helped, and we are thankful for that. While we left with a decent cut, the experience was traumatic for all of us. I will not return for future cuts unless with a different stylist.
We decided to bring our young child for their initial hair trim. They were able to pick a movie to watch and select their chair. Angel was fantastic with them. We are thrilled with the outcome.
