A colleague suggested this establishment to me, and despite its convenient location, my experience left me disheartened. During my pedicure, both of my big toenails were painfully ripped along the sides, causing bleeding, and the acetone application burned. My feet were excessively filed to remove dead skin, which should have been minimal since I had recently done it myself, yet a chunk was left on the side of my toe that was already there. As for the acrylics, the sides of my nails were filed down so much that I had to repeatedly request the technician to stop as it was reaching the skin. While I understand that acrylics can damage nails, there is now nothing left on the sides of any of my nails, and they are all uneven, requiring me to shape them at home. The nail designs I requested had a base coat applied only once, resulting in a transparent finish. Additionally, there was significant bleeding in my nail beds.
All of the staff members at Erie Nails are consistently warm and hospitable. They always inquire about your well-being and wear smiles on their faces. The quality of their services is exceptional, truly worth every cent. Their prices are quite competitive compared to other salons. I have tried numerous other places in the past and always left dissatisfied, feeling like just another transaction. I am committed to only visiting Erie Nails from now on. A loyal customer for life.
I had made a prior appointment specifically requesting a technician skilled in nail art. Over the phone, I was assured that my appointment would be scheduled accordingly. However, upon arrival, I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time for my technician, which I can understand can happen occasionally. Unfortunately, the technician assigned to me was not proficient in nail art, evident in the simplistic geometric shapes that ended up looking like blobs. The reason I am writing this review is because in my decade of getting my nails done, I have never experienced what occurred during this visit. To my disbelief, the technician accidentally cut me FOUR times while using the Dremel tool. When acetone was applied to remove the dip I had on my nails, I had to plead for the removal of one foil as it was burning the open cut on my finger. I felt extremely uncomfortable throughout the process, and each time the tool was used, I felt nauseous. Despite wanting to leave, I felt trapped. The technician even had the audacity to question my fear when I expressed discomfort after being cut multiple times. I cannot fathom how I ended up paying the exorbitant fee they charged me for the worst nail salon experience of my life. I am sharing this to caution others against visiting this establishment. I am unsure if the technician even had a valid license, as I cannot comprehend how a licensed professional could behave in such a manner. ***update*** A day after the appointment, the "nail art" is already peeling off.
