I absolutely adore this country. I brought my twin stepsons to get their hair styled. They were so kind. Reduced the cost. Provided my sons with snacks. They were incredibly patient with them. They were warm and treated me and my family with kindness. I will definitely return. I'm bringing my youngest son there for a hair styling session.
I desired box braids, so I visited this hair salon since it was the nearest one to me. They did a decent job, except for the fact that they did not properly secure the ends of the braids, causing them to unravel. I had to fix it myself. I also discovered that I was severely overcharged for the service. She demanded $200 and made me purchase my own hair, totaling $240. She even tried to make me buy the gel used to secure the braids... I gave her a look, and she ended up buying it herself. Additionally, I left a generous tip on top of the $240. I genuinely felt she was too focused on money. Every person who complimented my braids also inquired about the price, and EVERY SINGLE person responded with "That was way too expensive, you could go to another location and pay no more than $100." I am convinced she took advantage of me, and I will not be returning.
This salon is the absolute worst I've ever been to. Insects were crawling everywhere. The odor was unbearable. The individuals here were incredibly rude and disrespectful. The Destiny Lady seemed overly focused on material possessions and lacked hair styling skills. Avoid visiting this establishment at all costs. It's no surprise it only received three stars. The worst salon in the entire country.
