Do not waste your money! I came across this nail salon based on its stellar reviews, and I was keen to experience a black-owned nail establishment. The positive aspect was the excellent customer service. The receptionist warmly welcomed me and stored all my personal items in a tub. The nail technician was friendly, and the salon was spotless. However, the quality of my nails did not meet expectations. It appears that this place functions more like a beauty school, with technicians seemingly in training. Within just two days, one of my nails broke. I paid $36 for a full set of medium nails with regular polish. While I believe the salon has potential, they need to hire more skilled nail technicians. Now, it's the weekend, and I'm dealing with a broken nail. I will not be returning here!
I have frequented this establishment for over 5 years. I adored it and always recommend it to everyone. I used to prefer Shade or Marissa. However, since the change in ownership (no longer Marissa), it has already lost my patronage and that of my companions. I had my nails done on December 21st by Maliyah. She was exceedingly pleasant and meticulous with my nail design. Nonetheless, the quality of the products used was subpar as the next morning, my nail color started peeling off. They rectified the issue, only for it to recur. I had to return a third time on the 23rd. Subsequently, I went out of town on the 24th, and once again, my nails began peeling. The images attached depict my nails while I was away. I reached out to the new owners, expecting a return call. However, 8 days later and after 2 follow-up calls, NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and such issues would never have arisen under Shade or Marissa's management. I will be contacting them to cancel my future appointments and taking my business elsewhere.
My new favorite spot. I opted for a lavender pedicure. Additionally, they have a neighboring venue hosting a delightful baby shower with fantastic music.
