Thank goodness for United States Salon and Spa Arlington! I keep coming back to get my nails done. Sylvia is amazing! I made the mistake of going down the street, once. I only need to learn a lesson, once. It's always a wonderful experience with Sylvia. Now, I won't go anywhere else.
I am fairly still new to the area and finding this salon I felt like I had found a hidden gem. They have amazing services and everyone is so sweet. My pedicures always come out so perfect. However, my last visit I got a full set along with my usual pedicure & the tech that did the nails did not properly prep my nails or nail beds. The nails started lifting after about one week, she didn’t clean up my cuticles. The nails not lasting left some damage on my nails and the skin surrounding my nails because of them not being prepped properly. The acrylic was bumpy, misshapen and because she was rushing a few of the nail tips weren’t applied properly and were a bit crooked. As I study & work in the cosmetology field myself, I would still happily recommend them for pedicure services because they are truly great! Would love to see some improvements with the nail techs.
I recently visited United States salon hoping for soft waves as I requested, but unfortunately, I left with severely dry, super kinky curls that were nothing like what I asked for. Not only did this result in significant damage to my hair, but the salon also refused to refund me for the service. Despite returning more than three times and requesting a refund, I was told to come back on a Saturday when the only person capable of processing refunds would be available. Upon my return, the stylist repeatedly insisted that my dissatisfaction stemmed from my lack of haircare knowledge, disregarding the fact that the type of curl was not what I had asked for.
